Join us for a fun family event on the second Saturday in November at the Chaska Turkey Trot 5k Race. Runners, walkers, and local residents gather at the Chaska High School to raise money for two worthy organizations. The Chaska DECA Club and the Chaska ROTARY Club join forces to bring a great event to all. DECA funding allows our best and brightest students to compete at regional, state, and national competitions on business development. Chaska DECA has a long and successful record of qualifying, competing, and winning at national events. Chaska DECA designates a portion of their proceeds to their chosen charity for the year, Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).
The Chaska ROTARY Club has been a force for good in Eastern Carver County for more than 45 years. All proceeds from the race are invested back into service projects. Chaska ROTARY raises money to fund fresh water projects worldwide, hosts exchange students locally as well as sending students abroad, provides funding for several local community projects, and offers scholarships to well-deserving students within the community. Proceeds from the race are also raised for the ROTARY International END POLIO NOW Challenge Grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
