Event Description:

What is the Southwest Metro Leadership Program?
It’s a 9-month community engagement program designed to develop leadership skills, gain awareness of the Southwest Metro community, create a network of informed leaders and encourage greater involvement in the community.

Who Should Attend?
This program is ideal for the rising star in your organization. It sends a clear message that your business values their  employees & is committed to developing the next generation of community leaders.  It is also great for someone who is new to our community to expedite their learning curve.

What will I learn?
Each month’s topic is presented through the insights of prominent individuals from the public and private sectors, in-depth discussion of current issues pertinent to the session topic, site visits, and interactive experiences. Participants  also work in teams on projects of their own design to support a non-profit or community cause.

What is the Commitment?
Participants need to attend at least 7 of the 9 sessions to graduate from the program. There are no make-up sessions.  Each session is approximately four hours.

How do I apply and how much is it?
Tuition for the Leadership program is $575.00 per participant for current Chamber members & $675.00 for non-members.  Tuition covers monthly sessions, speakers, meals and materials. A limited number of scholarships are available to those not able to pay the full tuition. Registration is limited & tuition is due by September 1.

Not only will you hear from around 30 speakers, you'll visit around 17 different community sites for your sessions.
