DESCRIPTION:What is the Southwest Metro Leadership Program?\n\nIt's a 9-month community engagement program designed to develop leadership skills\, gain awareness of the Southwest Metro community\, create a network of informed leaders and encourage greater involvement in the community.  \n\n \n\nWho Should Attend?\n\nThis program is ideal for the rising star in your organization. It sends a clear message that your business values their employees & is committed to developing the next generation of community leaders.  It is also great for someone who is new to our community to expedite their learning curve.\n\n \n\nWhat will I learn?\n\nTopics are presented through the insights of prominent individuals from the public and private sectors.  The program also includes group work\, self-exploration\, site visits\, and interactive experiences.  Participants work in teams on projects of their own design to support a community cause. \n\n \n\nWhat is the Commitment?\n\nParticipants need to attend at least 7 of the 9 sessions to graduate from the program.
