DESCRIPTION:Spring has finally arrived! But so has this critter!  The dreaded deer tick \n\n\n\nIn Minnesota\, spring seems to be like the great awakening. Everyone comes out of hibernation. The neighbor kids have all gown a foot taller and are almost hard to recognize. Everyone is getting outside\, which is great to see. \n\n\n\nBeing outside is a great thing but we also need to be aware that it does expose us to certain things that can affect our health significantly. Lyme disease is one of those things. By no means do we want to scare people especially from going outside and doing healthy things. It is important however that you understand the risk and what to watch for in case you or one of your loved ones has to deal with this illness.\n\n\n\nDuring the Lyme disease workshop you will learn\n\n- What causes the illness\n\n- What spreads the illness (it's more than deer ticks)\n\n- How it is diagnosed\n\n- What symptoms to watch for\n\n- How it can be treated\n\n\n\nSpace is limited.
