DESCRIPTION:What is the Southwest Metro Leadership Program?\n\nIt's a 9-month community engagement program designed to develop leadership skills\, gain awareness of the Southwest Metro community\, create a network of informed leaders and encourage greater involvement in the community. \n\nWho Should Attend?\n\nThis program is ideal for the rising star in your organization. It sends a clear message that your business values their employees & is committed to developing the next generation of community leaders. It is also great for someone who is new to our community to expedite their learning curve.\n\nWhat will I learn?\n\nEach month's topic is presented through the insights of prominent individuals from the public and private sectors\, in-depth discussion of current issues pertinent to the session topic\, site visits\, and interactive experiences. Back home applications are part of each session. Participants also work in teams on projects of their own design to support a non-profit or community cause. \n\nWhat is the Commitment?\n\nParticipants need to attend at least 7 of the 9 sessions to graduate from the program. There are no make-up sessions. Each session is approximately four hours. \n\nHow do I apply and how much is it?\n\nTuition for the Leadership program is $550.00 per participant for current Chamber members & $650.00 for non-members. Tuition covers monthly sessions\, speakers\, meals and materials. A limited number of scholarships are available to those not able to pay the full tuition. Registration is limited & tuition is due by September 1.
