Real networking is about making contact\, not just getting contacts. Don't let chance determine your success\, practice effective techniques so you are ready for the next opportunity. If you are one of the many who hate networking\, this session will help you feel more comfortable and at ease when representing yourself or your organization.\n\n\n\nCreating Connections is an interactive workshop that puts you on your feet and on the spot. You will learn:\n\n	How to capture someone's attention.\n	How to avoid hovering around only the people you know.\n	To move smoothly in and out of conversations\n	To identifying solid prospects\n	To set goals for networking at professional events\n\n Stevie Ray\n\nStevie Ray has been a nationally recognized speaker and trainer for nearly 30 years\, helping Fortune 500 companies and small organizations alike improve communication skills\, teamwork\, innovative thinking\, leadership\, and customer service. He is the Executive Director of Stevie Ray's Improv Company in Minneapolis\, a company that has provided training and entertainment since 1989. His comedy troupe can be seen each week at their new home at the world-renowned Chanhassen Dinner Theatres.\n\nStevie Ray is a nationally syndicated columnist for the Business Journal Newspapers and is the author of ten books. He lives in Minneapolis with his wife and stepdaughter. He learned his quick-thinking skills trying to win debates with them. It has yet to work.
